Firestarters is Bethesda United Methodist Church’s youth group. Our name comes from Acts 2:3, where tongues of fire appeared on the apostles and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. We are young men and women who seek to grow closer to Jesus Christ. Through our fellowship together in the Word these young people are equipping themselves with the weapons of our warfare. Our time together is filled with fun, laughter, and growth in our relationship to one another and to Christ.
These faith-filled youth enter in during the summer following their fifth grade year and remain in our fellowship until they have moved beyond high school. Typically this ranges from about 11 to 18 years old. We currently meet on Sunday nights at BUMC from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. Youth group includes a game, a snack, and the studying of God’s Word.
